Today, my daughter walked across my living room (about 10') without her walker, foot brace, or my help!!!!
In October 2014, my daughter, at the age of 28, suffered a major stroke. This left her with hemiplegia on the left side. Six weeks later, she suffered another stroke, not quite as severe. This one had some effect on the right side; and severely compromised her ability to swallow and speak.
She was treated with medication and physical therapy, occupational therapy and speech therapy. After one year, on November 5, 2015, all therapy was ended as no further progress was being made. She ended therapy with a prosthetic for speech, a brace for the ankle and knee, and a walker.
Treatment began with Audrey on a twice a week basis. After 5 weeks, she walked across the room without assistance. Of course, we still have a ways to go; but we would never have gotten this far without the help of Audrey.
Although rehabilitation certainly has its value, they are limited in what they can achieve. A provider like Audrey Blanchard has extensive muscle training and knowledge to provide therapy that is not possible in a traditional setting.
When you think you can go no further, and there is no other help available. Think again. You would be amazed at the help you can get with the therapy Audrey provides.
